During the first phase of the BJP's Jana Jagaran programme to be organised in all mandals and districts from April 6 to 11, the party will educate people on various scams the UPA government at the Centre is involved in, price rise, corruption, and note-for- votes, Vaman Acharya, National Committee member and in-charge of State affairs, has said.

Dr. Acharya, who was here on Saturday, addressed party leaders and cadres, and dwelt at length on the multi-crore scams such as 2G spectrum, Adarsh Housing, and Common Wealth Games.

Scams of such magnitude were unheard of in the history of the county, he said.

Black money

The party leader favoured constitution of teams with a view to creating awareness among people on such issues.

On black money stacked in foreign banks by politicians, industrialists, and bureaucrats, Dr. Acharya demanded that it be brought back to India for investment in irrigation, power, and housing projects.

National Committee leader K. Haribabu, State leaders P. Raja Rao and B. Ranga Mohan, district in-charge T. Subbirami Reddy, district president P. Sanyasi Raju, and general secretary B. Siva Prasad Reddy were present on the occasion.
