BJP leader and former Union Minister B. Dattatreya, urged the government to pay a compensation of Rs. five lakh to the families of the each of three women feared buried alive at Jawaharnagar dumping yard.

One member from each of the three families should be given a job and house site as well, he said after visiting the yard on Friday.

“Instead of dumping entire garbage of the city at one place like Jawaharnagar, decentralise this process and save people living in this area from falling prey to pollution,” the senior BJP leader said.

Expressing dismay over none of the three Ministers from city not visiting the yard despite disappearance of three women, he appealed to Chief Minister, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, to direct the authorities to initiate appropriate measures.
