Allege irregularities in allotment of quota for local body polls
KARIMNAGAR: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district unit leaders staged a dharna in the chambers of the Zilla Parishad Deputy Chief Executive Officer here on Saturday alleging that reservations for the local bodies elections were allocated only to the benefit the ruling Congress party, Telangana Rashtra Samithi and the Communist Party of India in the district.
BJP district president P. Sugunakar Rao, BJP Kisan Morcha president B. Jangamohan Rao and others participated in the dharna and grilled the deputy CEO for alleged irregularities in the allotment of reservations to various sections for ZPTC and MPP members.
They alleged that the authorities in connivance with the Congress leaders violated all norms in the allotment of reservations.
They also threatened to approach the court if the administration failed to correct the irregularities.
