National General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party P. Muralidhara Rao has said that his party which is gaining strength day after day is only one alternative to all the anti-Congress forces in the country. He hoped that the number of allies in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will going to increase substantially.

Addressing media conference here on Wednesday, after visited flood affected Konaseema area along with state general secretary Somu Veerraju and others, Mr. Muralidhar Rao said that the Narendra Modi’s wave has just started in the country and it will polarize all forces despite caste, creed and religion and form as single largest party by next elections. He said that the BJP had taken a decision to meet people personally through a nation-wide door-to-door campaign and also public meetings of Mr. Modi. The first meeting in the state would be on the 11 August in Hyderabad and he will address some more public meetings in rest of the state in coming months.

‘Top priority’

Replying to some questions, Mr. Muralidhar Rao said that BJP’s stand is clear on Polavaram project and it will support the construction of the project and it has not deviated from its policy on river linkage. He reiterated that they will support smaller states in the country and Telangana is their top priority in this direction.
