Party parliamentary constituency-level meeting today
Any vote for the so-called Opposition parties in the State, excluding the BJP, is bound to land up supporting the Congress government, this fact was established in the recent no-confidence motion in the Assembly, former MLA K Haribabu said.
Proxies of Congress
The no trust vote was moved by TRS, which is ready to merge into the Congress, and the YSRC which declared that after the 2014 elections it would support the Congress-led UPA government, both the parties are clearly proxies of the Congress. The vote was defeated on the Floor by Telugu Desam. All these actions make it clear where their loyalties stand. The voters are aware that any anti-Congress vote has to be given only to the BJP-NDA, he said at a press conference here on Wednesday.
The State BJP is organising Parliamentary constituency level meeting here on Monday in the first phase of such meetings planned to be held in all the 42 constituencies. Party national leader Venkaiah Naidu and State unit president G Kishen Reddy are expected to participate in the meeting, he added.
‘People for change’
A poster on the Praja Chaitanya Sadassu was released on the occasion.
The party is gearing up to organise its machinery from the grass root level to be ready to face the elections which are a year away.
The voters are aware of the progress being made in the BJP-ruled states and are keen on voting to bring a change in guard, he said.
He lashed out at the Congress government in the State for its lack of foresight leading to such a major power crisis. He ridiculed the State government’s invitation to industrialists while there was no power for existing units. Later, the party leaders and cadre staged a dharna at Siripuram junction in protest against the forceful breaking of fast of BJP leaders in Hyderabad. A number of party leaders were also present.
