Under the Bhu Bharathi, a pilot project for conducting survey of private and public lands with the help of remote sensing satellite, a survey of 13.84 lakh acres in 914 villages in the district was done so far and 9.85 lakh LPM maps have been prepared.

Disclosing this information at an official review on the progress of the project here on Saturday, Collector Christina Z. Chongthu asked the heads of all departments to verify the maps issued to them and submit their objections on them in 15 days so that they could be corrected.

As a large number of objections were coming on forest and endowment lands the authorities of both the departments should verify the borders of their lands and take responsibility of protecting them, she said and added that mistakes would be corrected after getting conducted re-survey by the surveyors.

Joint Collector K. Harshavardhan was also present.
