Bharat Dynamics Ltd. has extended financial support to set up two Reverse Osmosis plants in Nalgonda district to supply safe drinking water.
The plants, set up at a cost of Rs.63 lakh at Narayanpur and Jangaon of Narayanpur mandal, were inaugurated by BDL Executive Director N.K. Raju on Friday.
He said BDL as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, would supply safe drinking water to the ST, SC, OBC and tribal inhabitants at a nominal cost of 10 paisa a litre.
Drinking water will also be supplied to Peepal Pahad of Choutuppal mandal, he said. BDL also proposed to spend about Rs.3.5 crore on different projects. It provided 212 eco-sanitation toilets during 2012-13 and mid-day meals to 15 schools in Patancheru mandal in Medak, Mr. Raju added.
