Srikakulam: District Collector Nagulapalle Srikanth has asked all nationalised banks to adhere to credit plan for the Kharif crop and issue loans to all eligible farmers.
The Collector called upon officials concerned to take up the issue of realising the targets fixed for the kharif season with the bank officers concerned at the mandal level to facilitate completion of loan disbursal within the stipulated time.
Participating in a review meeting with officials here on Tuesday, Mr. Srikanth said of the target of Rs. 518.38 crore, an amount of Rs.364.83 crore had already been disbursed.
Already 70 per cent of the target had been realised and the remaining would be completed in a week, he added.
He asked lead district manager C.H. Rammohana Rao to follow it up with all managers so that targets can be completed within the stipulated time.
The Collector called upon officials to initiate stern action against those possessing fake passbooks.
Agriculture deputy director Murali Krishna, NABARD AGM Subrahmanyam, Andhra bank AGM Venkaiah, SBI chief manager Gopinath and APGVB general manager Krishna Reddy were present.
