VISKAHAPATNAM: Provision of bigger and good number of lockers, dispatch of monthly statements of accounts, making some special provisions for senior citizens and enhancing dividends for the share holders were some of the demands made by customers at the Syndicate Bank’s ‘customer meet’ held on the bank’s premises here on Wednesday. Bank regional manager M. Mohan Reddy was present.

Welcoming the customers, bank chief manager N.S. Prasad said that the thrust areas of the bank were loans to consumer goods and retired people.

Responding to the demands of customers, Mr. Mohan Reddy said that arrangements would be made for provision of a limited number of about ten lockers initially and instructed local officials to make arrangements for this. The issue of sending monthly statements would also be taken up. Initially they would be dispatched through e-mail. Of the 70 branches in the region, Visakhapatnam, which has all modern facilities, was the most important. A special feature of the Syndicate Bank was its personal touch, he claimed. The bank would try to keep it up.

He said that when a service was provided, there would always be deficiencies. He urged customers to come out with their problems without any hesitation and enable the bank to improve its service.

Earlier, Mr. Mohan Reddy said that the bank would soon start a new branch at the Eastern Naval Command in the city.
