Workers and businessmen in Autonagar observed a day-long bandh expressing their solidarity with the ongoing agitation. The automobile sales and service units, including dealers of all major auto companies, were closed down. The workers led by Autonagar Society former chairman Venkateswara Reddy took out a rally till the Potti Sriramulu Statue. Police thwarted the attempts of student leaders of Joint Action Committee to smear the posters of central leaders at Potti Sriramulu Centre. The leaders were arrested and later released on bail. In protest, the supporters staged a rasta roko at Hindu College Junction. Former MLC Rayapati Srinivas, Md. Hidyat, Srinivasa Rao were also present.

Meanwhile, former Minister Kodela Siva Prasada Rao distributed basic provisions to striking employees, including employees of RTC at Narasaraopeta. Dr. Siva Prasada Rao distributed bags containing rice, dal and oil, all of them worth Rs.8.45 lakh to 650 agitating employees.
