VISAKHAPATNAM: Former Minister and senior party leader Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu, who was district convenor of the Telugu Desam till now, has been elected as president of the district committee of the party here on Monday.
Elections of all 51 office-bearers of the district committee was unanimous. Party observer K. Pratibha Bharathi conducted the elections. Senior leaders like P. Chalapathi Rao, Bharanikana Rama Rao and others were present.
Senior Corporator Kona Tata Rao was general secretary. Former Minister M. Manikumari, T. Harsha Vardhan, K.V.V.N. Narayana Rao, P.C. Appa Rao, Botta Venkata Ramana and B. Manishankara Naidu were elected as vice-presidents.
There are 10 organising secretaries, 15 secretaries, one publicity secretary and 14 executive committee members.
Patarlagadda Rambabu and Bolisetti Srinivasa Rao are official spokespersons. P.S. Nayudu is office secretary.
Urban unit: Peela Srinivasa Rao and Byreddy Pothana Reddy were unanimously elected as president and general secretary of the Visakha urban unit of TDP, in the elections held on Sunday.
S.S. Anjaneyulu, Dasari Venkateswara Rao, G. Ananda Babu, Malla Appala Raju and Puli Venkataramana Reddy were elected as vice-presidents. Pentakota Appala Naidu is treasurer and Prasadula Srinivasa Rao is official spokesman. Three organising secretaries, six secretaries, two publicity secretaries and 20 EC members were also elected unanimously in the elections conducted by party observer Chikkala Ramachandra Rao.
