KARIMNAGAR: The Reserve Bank of India, Hyderabad and the Andhra Bank zonal office in Karimnagar have jointly organised an awareness programme on detection of counterfeit notes in Karimnagartown on Thursday.
Andhra Bank DGM K. Suryanarayana, assistant general manager P.V.S.T.R. Seshagiri Rao, RBI assistant manager B.V. Seshagiri Rao and others participated in the programme and explained to the bank customers and employees about the techniques for the detection of counterfeit notes.
They explained in detail about the salient features of genuine notes for various denominations through power point presentation.
Detection of fake notes through ultra violet lamp, physical features such as number panel on note, difference of colour, raised printing, thickness of paper and so on was also explained.
