The third in the series of awareness programmes for students on various career options, being jointly organised by The Hindu and FIITJEE, Visakhapatnam will be held at the Visakha Public Libarary from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on November 19.
A panel consisting of a scientist of NSTL G. V. Krishna Kumar, centre head of FIITJEE Gurunadh and a few expert trainers would conduct the session for the benefit of school students.
Mr. Krishna Kumar will deliver a talk on science and society and elaborate on the relevance of the science for students and its application to society. The awareness session will also focus on various competitive examinations like KVPY., BITSAT, NSTE, Olympiads, JEE (mains), JEE (advance) and SAT.
The objective of this programme is to create awareness on various career options available in the field of science and technology, and how to choose a particular course, exam, career and its prospects. The expert panel will also support, help and mentor the students on how to prepare for the examination, its pattern and methodology etc.
Mr.Gurunadh said that this session acts like a forum for the students to provide information on choosing science as a possible career in addition to the much sought-after engineering and IT streams. This programme is an effort to guide the students on to the right path in addition to providing them with necessary tools for success, he added.
