VISAKHAPATNAM: The Project Manager (Research Projects) of Indian Maritime University (IMU), B.V. Ramalingeswara Rao, has been selected to receive two awards for his research papers ‘An approach to energy management system in ship design - A case of a passenger vessel’ and ‘Information and communication technology strategies for maritime transportation and sustainable trade development in India’ by the Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways.

The awards carry cash prize of Rs.10,000 each along with Maritime Award Certificates. The awards will be given on June 3 at the Ministry’s office at Transport Bhawan in New Delhi. Mr. Rao will also be allowed to give a brief presentation on his research papers.
