Andhra University is going for reassessment by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) during this year and before that seeking ISO certification renewal, and the faculty must prepare themselves for the two tasks, Rectror A.V. Prasada Rao said at a meeting with HoDs of AU College of Arts and Commerce here on Monday.

Andhra University secured A grade from the NAAC earlier and this time, the academic standards must be improved and the grade maintained, Prof. Prasada Rao said.

Efforts should be made to meet the NAAC requirements like strong curriculum, value added education, revision of syllabus to meet the changing requirements in the era of globalisation, strong research and collaboration, high impact factor publications, teaching and learning evaluation, consultancy, student progression, good governance and innovative programmes and excellent academic practices, he said.

Principal D. Prabhakara Rao said that the College was geared up to meet the ISO and NAAC requirements. He suggested to the faculty to use the Information and Communication Technology.
