Andhra University is planning a vocational course to train budding politicians on political skills like public speaking, etc. and ethics and morals, Vice-Chancellor G.S.N. Raju informed on Tuesday.
He made this announcement after his return from New Delhi after participating in a national workshop on vocational courses in skilling India, conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education on Monday.
During the workshop, Union Minister for HRD M. Pallam Raju wanted introduction of vocational courses at the degree level. Vocational courses will cover level 1 to 7 starting from ninth standard. Students completing levels 3, 4 and 5 will be given diplomas and degrees will be awarded to those completing 6 and 7 levels.
