‘Atma Santhi yatra’ launched

KADAPA: Youth Congress general secretary Bollepalle Venkanna Goud and 10 members of Bikkumalla village in Nootankal mandal in Nalgonda district who undertook ‘Atma Santhi yatra’ from Idupulapaya to the camp office at Hyderabad, demanding that Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy be made Chief Minister, reached Kadapa on Wednesday night.

They visited the late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s samadhi at Idupulapaya and launched the yatra and took up a signature campaign en route. They were received by Kadapa District Congress president K. Suresh Babu at the Congress office.

They visited a relay fast camp before the DCC office where State Mahila Congress secretary C. Janaki, district Mahila Congress president Alle Prabhavathi and leaders Gayathri, V. Sandhya Rani, Sujatha Reddy, Ratna Kumari and others fasted for the second day and expressed their support to Jagan’s candidature.

Meanwhile, a padayatra launched by Jagan Rashtra Seva Samithi members from Alipiri in Tirupati to Idupulapaya reached Kadapa on Thursday. BC Sangham leader CRI Subba Reddy received the yatris, who demanded that Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy be made the Chief Minister.
