It took quite a few years for N. Trinadha to bid adieu to his mundane supervisory job before taking the plunge into a different world. Seven years down the line, he is more than happy to discover his line of interest.

However, he does not know much about how to take his business to new heights.

Ever since P. Dayakar, an intermediate student, sustained an injury to his leg in a road accident, he had to put a stop to his favourite sport - athletics. Now, he aspires to set up a brick industry. But, he is unsure of his project’s viability.

Another youngster, G. Chaitanya, has no clue about marketing strategies required to commence a textile unit. He is bit confused about the skills required to go ahead with his new found project. During her free time, R. Naveena, a drawing teacher, likes to work from home. She wants to set up an online portal to carry on with her business.

With proper guidance, she is keen on exploring the new line. At the week-long entrepreneurship development programme, hosted by Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh, these aspiring entrepreneurs have found a way.

Core subjects

With market survey, finance management and bank linkage as the core topics covered, about 25 participants were able to find solutions for their multiple queries.

“Understanding the technicalities involved in setting up a unit is essential. The workshop gave an introduction to business communication and marketing strategies which I found quite useful,” says G. Chaitanya.

The training session has changed Trinadha’s business perspective. He says, “I can now approach corporate industries to promote customised landscapes. In future, apart from landscape designing and its maintenance I also have plans to set up rose nurseries.”
