HYDERABAD: The State government has issued orders revising the pay scales of the state level judicial officers on Saturday and Andhra Pradesh has become the first state to implement the recommendations on pay scales.
The revision would also be applicable to retired judicial officers. As per revised pay scales, a Junior Civil Judge will get a basic pay of Rs 27,700 to Rs 44,770 while for a Senior Civil Judge it would be Rs 39,530 to Rs 54,010. An entry-level District Judge will get a basic pay of Rs 51,550 to Rs 63,070, selection grade District Judge Rs 57,700 to Rs 70,290 and super time scale District Judge Rs 70,290 to Rs 76,450. The revised scales will be considered with effect from January 1, 2006, the association said.
The government also issued another order stipulating payment of a sumptuary allowance of Rs 1,500 to Junior Civil Judges, Rs 2,300 to Senior Civil Judges and Rs 3,100 for District Judges of all levels besides a monthly medical allowance of Rs 1,000 per month.
