Applicants involved in drawing lots
Draw covers 100 HIG units, 240 LIG and 120 LIG units
710 units in the first phase will come up on 20.17 acres
VISAKHAPATNAM: The draw of lots for allotment in the first phase of VUDA’s ‘Singapore Class’ housing project “Harita’ at Madhurawada was completed on Monday. The process at the Children’s Theatre covered 100 HIG units, 240 LIG and 120 LIG units.
Applicants themselves were involved in drawing the lots. VUDA Secretary M.S. Bhagawan supervised the process.
For the HIG, apart from the 100 allottees, an additional 20 were drawn in the wait list so as to make up in case of some prefer to withdraw. For the MIG against 490 units, only 240 applications were received and all of them were allotted units.
The MIG applicants wanted draw to be conducted for all the east-facing flats as the number (of applicants) was less than the units. However, VUDA officials said deviation was not possible for the procedure and in spite of their not selling the flats now, they have to pay the price to the ‘design and build’ agency. After allotting the 120 units in the LIG category, the remaining 16 were waitlisted.
The 710 units in the first phase will come up on 20.17 acres and comprise two HIG blocks, seven MIG and two LIG units.
Chief Accounts Officer D.Vijayabharathi, SE I. Viswanadha Rao, Officer on Special Duty Y. Ramesh, Estate Officer A.Jagdish, Chief Urban Planner K.Anandbabu and Manager T.Sunil Kumar Tripathi participated.
