Seeks regionwise details of students who got good marks in the revaluation

‘EAMCET counselling designed to suit non-Telangana students'

HYDERABAD: The recent controversy surrounding the Intermediate Board over the evaluation of answer scripts attained a political flavour when ‘Telangana Jagruthi' president K. Kavitha demanded re-evaluation of all answer scripts of Intermediate students in the State.

Mrs. Kavitha recalled agitations in the Telangana region where many organisations demanded separate valuation for each region. “The revelation in which a Warangal student awarded ‘zero marks' initially by a non-Telangana evaluator shows the biased correction system in the Inter Board,” she said at a press conference here on Tuesday.

She wanted details of the 4,000 students who were awarded good marks in the revaluation to be made out with regionwise list. “We have been observing that the EAMCET counselling process, which would be held in the coming months, has been designed to suit the non-Telangana students ,” she added.

Demanding region-wise re-evaluation for Intermediate and SSC scripts, she said the relevant fee should be reduced and the last date for applying extended.
