GUNTUR: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy will formally declare the Acharya Nagarjuna University Engineering College open on the campus on January 28 during his two-day visit to the district.

The ANU Vice-Chancellor along with District Collector B. Venkatesham, ANU Rector K. Viyyanna Rao and Superintendent of Police Mahesh Chandra Laddha went round the campus on Thursday to inspect the exact location of foundation stone laying function for the engineering college which will be functioning from temporary premises till the new one is built. The Vice-Chancellor said that intake of students would commence after the results/counselling of the EAMCET-2009 begins for 2009-10 batch.

The Chief Minister will attend the annual conventions of Bible Mission on the same day before coming to the ANU campus , the Superintendent of Police added. Guntur RDO, Collector and SP visited all the spots on Thursday where Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy would halt. Collector Mr. Venkatesham said that the CM would land at Nizampatnam on Wednesday morning and from there participate in a road show up to Tenali.
