VISAKHAPATNAM: The Jagadguru Peetham, established by Master Ekkirala Krishnamacharya, is organising the annual Gurupuja Mahostavam from January 11 to 13 at the TTD choultry, Simhachalam.

More than 4,000 devotees, including many from foreign countries, would participate in the celebrations, which were commenced by Master EK in 1962. President of the Peetham K. Parvathi Kumar would give lectures during morning and evening on all the three days while Sadguru K. Sivananda Murthy would give a discourse on Jan. 11.

Some books written by Master EK, Mr. Parvathi Kumar, K.S. Sastry and A.L.N. Rao would be released during the three-day festival, according to the organisers.

The celebrations would be launched on Saturday evening with Ganapati puja, common prayer and Pournami Dhyanam.

From Sunday the daily programmes included Ganapati puja and Gurupadukaastavam in the morning followed by mass participation in the Vishnu Sahasranama Homam, Rudrabhishekam and the Lalita Sahasranam puja. Every day the programme would commence with Sri Venkateswara Suprabhatam and conclude with Master EK Neerajanam.

Devotees could also perform Annaprasana, Aksharabhyasam and Upanayanam of their children during the three-day festival.

Cultural programmes are being arranged during the evenings in which K. Siva Prasad, O.R.R. Prasad, Indraganti Kali Prasad, Manda Rama and others would perform. N. Anantalakshmi would speak on Tarigonda Vengamamba.

Foreign devotees would speak on East-West confluence.
