‘Expedite supply of textbooks, uniforms’

CPI (M) State committee secretary B. V. Raghavulu has appealed to Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy to instruct officials to expedite supply of textbooks and uniforms to the school students. In a letter to Mr. Reddy, the CPI (M) leader complained that though it was 17 days since the academic year had begun, the government has miserably failed to supply adequate number of text books and uniforms. Of 5.31 crore textbooks required, officials claim 3 crore books were printed and in the process of transportation. – Special Correspondent
