HYDERABAD: Industry has expressed its disappointment that no concrete steps have been announced on how the government is planning to reduce fiscal deficit, though no special sops are expected from the vote-on-account budget.
Talking to presspersons here on Monday, B. V. R. Mohan Reddy southern region chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry said no impetus was given to the industry. “I am disappointed. I expected some thing more from the budget, though it is just a vote-on-account.”
It was more of a progress report of the UPA government, said M.R. Vikram, partner of M. Anandam & Co, chartered accountants.
Shakti Sagar, MD of ADP, said that the IT industry expected extension of 10A and 10B sunset clauses of the Software Technology Parks of India at least by two more years.
