The Hindu Dharma Parirakshana Trust of the Endowments Department will organise a 20-day summer camp ‘Satakaparichayam' for school students at Sri Kanaka Mahalakshmi temple from May 11.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Endowments and Executive Officer of the temple D. Bhramaramba, Dasaradhi Satakam is chosen under the devotional category and Vemana Satakam for moral instruction. A satakam is a book of 100 poems.
Telugu teacher Radha Prasada Rao will organise the camp from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Those attending the camp will be given the two books free of cost and there is no entry fee.
At the conclusion of the classes, a competition will be conducted giving prizes to three winners. All the participants will be given certificates. Those intending to participate may contact 0891-2731250.
