Partymen elated by the compliment from All-India Congress Committee leaders
Mood upbeat at Gandhi Bhavan following success of plenaryAll party activists worked hard, says APCC chief Opposition criticism termed meaningless
HYDERABAD: After winning accolades from Congress delegates for organising the 82nd AICC plenary, Congressmen in the State are upbeat over the successful conduct of the mega event.
Basking in the glory of the successful conclusion of the plenary, it was time for APCC president K. Keshava Rao to acknowledge the contribution and support of all those who toiled hard to make the event memorable.
The atmosphere at Gandhi Bhavan, the party's State headquarters, was tension-free as the leaders were seen in a relaxed mood. They were elated at the compliment received from the AICC leaders for the systematic and foolproof arrangements in all aspects that made the meeting a success.
Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, Mr. Keshava Rao said all the partymen in the State with the active support of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy had worked hard for the success of the event. The plenary had set a clear agenda for the party in the coming years.
The plenary had set the ball rolling to usher in a second green revolution, the PCC chief said, adding it sent a clear message that all should work for the people. "The high command is fully satisfied with the functioning of the State Government", he pointed out.
He said there was no meaning in the criticism by opposition parties that the meeting chanted the names of Sonia and Rahul Gandhi. To a question, he said there was no reasonable deadline for Telangana.
Congress Legislature Party members -- E. Pratap Reddy, A. Indrakaran Reddy, Koneru Konappa and Maganti Venkateswara Rao -- at a separate press conference thanked the partymen for the overwhelming success of the plenary.
