HYDERABAD: A woman was done to death allegedly by her husband at their house at Yapral on Thursday night.

Alwal Inspector M. Krishna Reddy said P. Chandrakala, 35, was trying to stop her husband Narasimha from reportedly beating their son Naveen for securing less marks in the intermediate first year examination.

Angered over this, Narasimha pushed her aside. Chandrakala suffered serious injuries on her head. Immediately, she was rushed to a nearby private hospital where she died later.

Police registered a murder case against Narasimha under Section 302 of IPC and took him into custody. The case is under investigation.
