VIJAYAWADA: Finding a job abroad seems to be easier than getting a job in your city now. Approaching a private consultancy and paying a huge amount for securing work permit is history as far as job seekers from Andhra Pradesh are concerned.
Thanks to the launch of Overseas Manpower Company Andhra Pradesh Limited (OMCAP), a consultancy which aims at providing career guidance to unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled professionals and assist them find a job abroad, the long-cherished mission of many can be easily transformed into reality now. Keeping the large-scale migration of labourers from the State to various foreign countries, the State Government has launched the OMCAP to bring overseas employers and aspiring youth closer by eliminating the role of private placement agencies. The consultancy identifies overseas job opportunities and assists the aspirants by coordinating passports, visas and air ticket. It also organises occupational competency certificates of international standards and helps the aspirants improve their professional skills by providing training in communication skills and personality development.
