KARIMNAGAR: Students of private educational institutions in Karimnagar town have secured highest marks in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination and set a milestone in the district.
J. Sarika and Ravili, students of the leading educational institute of Karimnagar Paramita High School, have secured 564 and 561 marks respectively. Don Bosco school students P. Spoorthi and Aqusa Urooz secured 564 each and Mounika (563). Vivekananda Vidyanikethan student Ch Praneetha secured 561 marks followed by Laurel High school student Mahesh (555) and Sri Teja (552).
Overall, the Karimnagar district is placed fifth in the SSC pass percentage in the State. Residential schools in Karimnagar district have also secured highest pass percentage and there are no schools with zero pass percentage.
ADILABAD: Adilabad has emulated its last year's performance in SSC examination with the district standing second in the State with a pass per cent of 86.19. It has improved over the last year's pass percentage of 84.65, according to District Educational Officer (DEO) P.B. Narsing Rao.
Two girls from Mancherial town have scored 579 marks out of 600 in the examination.
