HYDERABAD: With the boom in software industry, Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) course was back in prominence as was evident in the way 631 candidates chose the course out of 699 who got admitted through the ICET counselling that began in seven University centres across the State on Saturday. Only 38 candidates preferredMBA course.
ICET Convenor Uma Maheshwar Reddy told The Hindu that maximum candidates have registered at Acharya Nagarjuna University in Guntur. Dr. Reddy said counselling is being held for 20,443 seats in nearly 300 colleges and the first spell will go on till July 31. Principal Secretary Higher Education Asutosh Mishra inaugurated the counselling.
