Andhra Bank's easy loan schemeAndhra Bank assistant general manager R. Appadu on Thursday flagged off a demonstration van for organising road shows on `Andhra Bank Power Tools (Shakti) scheme.' The vehicle was organised as a follow-up to the MoU the Bank had entered into with MICO-Bosch for supply of power tools to artisans through an easy loan scheme. Reliance organises blood donation campReliance Group of companies in the city on Thursday organised a blood donation camp under the aegis of Indian Red Cross Society and Rotary Red Cross Blood Bank to commemorate the fourth death anniversary of group founder the late Dhirubhai Ambani. As many as 51 units of blood were donated during the day, and the camp would continue for another three to four days, a press release said.
Residential school admission date extendedThe last date for submission of applications for admission to fifth and eighth classes in Andhra Pradesh Residential School for minority girls, Vidyadharapuram, has been extended from July 7 to July 12. Admissions to fifth class will be made through an entrance test, which will be both in English and Urdu media, to be conducted on July 23. Tributes paid to Jagjivan RamThe Vijayawada City Congress Committee on Thursday paid floral tributes to freedom fighter and former Union Minister the late Babu Jagjivan Ram on his 20th death anniversary.
