Medical teams directed to tour villages and provide medicare

HYDERABAD: Health Minister K. Rosaiah has said that medical camps organised in flood-affected areas would continue and denied the charge that relief had been stopped in the camps.

He told press persons here on Sunday that as victims in relief camps were returning to villages, the emphasis now was on extension of medical services in the affected areas. Teams were directed to tour villages and provide medicare.

Organising camps

A videoconference was conducted on Sunday by Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department Commissioner C. B. A. Venkat Ramana, where medical teams were asked to organise a camp once in two days. The Minister said State programme officers were posted in the flood-hit districts.
