Public cautioned on land purchase
The Mandal Revenue Officer of Trimulgherry mandal has warned the people not to buy property bearing plot Nos. 18 to 23 in Jupiter Colony, near AWHO Vedvihar falling under survey no. 112/1, which is a graveyard belonging to the Government. In a statement here, he said that the land had been in the possession of some unauthorised persons and those purchasing would be liable for criminal and civil actions.
Staff of the Hyderabad District Collectorate boycotted the weekly `Mee Kosam' programme protesting against the alleged abusive language used by Karanam Balaram, Addanki MLA, against the Prakasham district Collector B. Udaya Lakshmi. The employees also staged demonstration during the lunch hour and demanded an apology from the MLA.
AIR phone-in programme
Sericulture Commissioner C. S. Ramalakshmi will answer questions during a phone-in programme on AIR Hyderabad at 3 p.m. on Tuesday to queries posed by farmers on issuessuch as self-employment, additional income through raising of silkworms, subsidies and incentives.

Diploma in engineering
The entrance examination for admission into three years diploma in engineering through correspondence-cum-contact programme will be held on October 15. The last date for sale of application forms and receipt of filled in forms is September 25. Applications are available at the Government Polytechnic, Ramanthapur.
