VIJAYAWADA: District Collector Navin Mittal on Wednesday asked officials to ensure foolproof arrangements for the conduct of District Selection Committee (DSC)-2006 examination at various centres in the district on Saturday.
Reviewing the arrangements for the examination, Mr. Mittal told the superintendents of examination halls and invigilators to follow the special rules framed for the purpose with as much seriousness as the election code was usually implemented. Candidates should be made to follow all disciplinary norms, and they should not be allowed, under any circumstance, to enter the examination centre after the scheduled time. The gates of examination centres should remain closed between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., the timings of the examination.
The Collector asked the supervising officials to ensure that the candidates did not come to the examination hall with mobile phones, calculators, watches with calculators, any electronic instrument and handbags.
In respect of candidates who have not received hall tickets by post, Mr. Mittal said that they could download duplicate copies from website www.aponline.gov.in. But superintendents of examination halls should cross-check such hall tickets with the names included in the list available with them.
