Majlis raise slogans against Censor Board

HYDERABAD: The film `Hyd... bad Nawabs' ran into a controversy with the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen activists taking objection to the portrayal of Hyderabadis in bad light in the film.

They raised slogans against the Regional Censor Board and the filmmaker, demanding the immediate removal of the objectionable dialogues and oblique references to a section of the old city. The reference to the area First Lancer in the film and its residents as dirty rags came in for stringent criticism.

"The film portrays Hyderabadis in a bad light and the objectionable scenes have to go by Tuesday," Asifnagar MLA Moazam Khan, who led the protest, demanded.
