Congress contestant T. G. Venkatesh from Kurnool Assembly had a peculiar problem. Another person with the same name filed nomination from the constituency and he feared this could confuse voters and he might lose out on votes. He promptly filed a petition in the High Court urging that the nomination of his namesake be disqualified. But the Division Bench comprising Justice V. Eswaraiah and Justice P. V. Sanjay Kumar did not agree and dismissed the petition.
