HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam has suspended two candidates for defying the party’s diktat asking them to withdraw from contest in constituencies allotted to Grand Alliance partners.

The first one is Dommati Sambaiah who failed to withdraw his nomination from Warangal (SC) Lok Sabha constituency which was allotted to TRS. Action was initiated against him, as he continued to remain in the fray, according to a press release from M. A. Sharif, TDP general secretary.

Similar action was taken against Somarapu Satyanarayana, party’s BC cell vice-president and candidate from Ramagundem Assembly segment in Karimnagar district. He continued in the contest as independent much against party’s warning though the seat was given to TRS.
