Makes appeal to media for proper coverage

‘No material difference among main parties’

Strengthening of government hospitals sought

VISAKHAPATNAM: “Lok Satta candidates have been gaining ground quietly and steadily and would give a good fight to the candidates sponsored by established political parties. There is a silent revolution of sorts.

People are convinced that we are honest and stand for clean politics. People want the ideas and ideals of Lok Satta founder Jayaprakash Narayan to succeed,” claimed contesting candidates M.T. Venkateswarulu (Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha), A. Govardana Reddy (Visakha West), Srini Mahesh (Visakha North), G. Anand Behari Lal alias Murari Raju (Gajuwaka) and S. Achyuta Ramamohana Rao (Bhimili).

Addressing media persons jointly here on Thursday, they said that there was not any material difference among the main political parties of Congress,

TDP and Praja Rajyam.

These parties have leaders that had jumped from one outfit to another to achieve their ambitions. They depend on money and muscle power.

Aroya Sri

Answering questions, Dr. Venkateswarulu said that Lok Satta strongly opposed Arogya Sri scheme as the scheme would help only corporate hospitals. Lok Satta wants Government hospitals to be strengthened through provision of infrastructure facilities. Health and education would get priority, he added. Even as a social organisation, Lok Satta had contributed a lot for strengthening democratic institutions.
