Vignan opens civil services coaching centre

 Vignan's Fountain Head for IAS, a civil services coaching centre, was inaugurated on the premises of NTR Stadium Complex at Brindavan Gardens here on Friday. The study centre was inaugurated by Addanki Sridhar Babu (IAS) and an alumnus of Vignan Engineering College. Vignan University Chancellor Lavu Rathiah said that the study circle would benefit students preparing for Civil Services, Group -1, Group-11 competitive examinations. Experienced faculty members from Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada were roped in to take classes. Dr. Rathaiah also said that dearth of quality study circles in Guntur meant that candidates preparing for competitive examinations were being forced to opt for study centres in Hyderabad. Mr. Sridhar, (2008 IAS) said that his preparation for civil services began when he was a student of Vignan Engineering College. He thanked the college for providing him with the necessary material for preparing for examination. “I learnt the lessons of life the harshest way. I got into IAS after three unsuccessful attempts. I urge the students to keep working hard and preserve till they reach the goals,'' Mr. Sridhar said.Vice Chancellor of University V. Govardhana Rao, Registrar A. Leela Mohan Rao and others were present.
