HYDERABAD: The software engineer, who returned to Hyderabad in the British Airways (BA 277) flight on May 31 and whose brother is the country’s first indigenous influenza A (H1N1) flu virus case, has been discharged on Wednesday. The 28-year-old software engineer, according to the hospital doctors, has recovered fully. With his release, the hospital now only has four flu positive patients admitted in the isolation wards. Till now, the hospital has successfully treated and discharged three flu positive patients while the rest are in a stable condition.
Meanwhile, the hospital on Wednesday received four more passengers, all of them volunteered, with suspected symptoms of H1N1 flu virus. The hospital sent the samples for testing and is waiting for results from the National Institute of Communicable Diseases, New Delhi.
