HYDERABAD: Speaker N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday directed the Ministers to take utmost care in ensuring that written answers were appropriate and to the satisfaction of members.

He gave the directive after Akbaruddin Owaisi (MIM) protested that Municipal Administration Minister A. Ramnarayan Reddy’s reply was ‘not proper’ and faulted the government for not providing the full list of flyovers constructed in the city, in response to his question.

The Speaker agreed that the answer was not “appropriate”. He asked the Minister to get the Khairatabad flyover examined by eminent engineers after Mr. Owaisi quoted a press report of cracks in it. The MIM member accused the government of neglecting the old city by not including a single flyover and foot-over-bridge.

The Minister said the flyover sites in the old city were identified and proposals were under examination. FoBs were being taken up. He said the P.V. Narasimha Rao Expressway would be completed by October 2. The Outer Ring Road’s phase-I would be ready by May 2010, phase-II by June 2011 and phase-III by December 2012.
