The signs are ominous. For the first time, after five years of successive above par performance, the monsoon in twin cities is showing signs of failure. The tell-tale

signs are not encouraging. The water tankers, both private and those run by the water board, have started jamming the streets. The reservoir levels have dipped alarmingly leaving little drinking water for consumption. By the month of July, monsoon was supposed to have been in full flow. However, till now, there is not even a single good spell of shower. Time surely seems to have run out for this year’s monsoon.
