VISAKHAPATANM: Andhra Medical College men completed a double hat-trick with the athletic championship in the NTR University of Health Sciences inter-medical college games and sports meet.
It won the title for the sixth consecutive year in the meet organised by Rangaraya Medical College in Kakinada recently.
AMC was also won two medals in men’s skating through Ravi Teja, finished as runner-up in carrom and claimed a bronze in women‘s 4x100 M relay, according to Physical Director M.S.N. Patrudu.
B. Ravi Kiran won gold in 400 M, silver in 200 M and 800 M and bronze in 100M and was a member of the AMC quartets that won both the 4x100 M and 4x400 M relays. J.V.S. Kishore claimed silver in 5,000 M and bronze in 1,500 M while V. Pavan Kumar won the 200 M and 400 M bronze medals. He was also in the AMC quartets that won golds.
The 4x100 M relay team consisted of B. Ravi Kiran, M. Ravi Kiran, M. Srinu and V. Pavan Kumar while B. Ravi Kiran, M. Ravi Kiran, V. Sandeep and V. Pavan Kumar made up the 4x400 M relay team.
The carrom team that won the second prize was made up of B. Srihari, P.V.V. Sai Kiran, Kundan Raja and B. Anand Kumar.
The bronze medal-winning women’s 4x100 M relay team consisted of Sandhya Rani, Gouthami, Archana and Kirti Priya.
Principal C.V. Rao, Vice-Principals T.S. Prasad and E. Pedaveerraju and others congratulated the college team and Mr. Patrudu for the good show in the inter-medical college meet.
