Museum will be established at Pillalamarri at a cost of Rs.80 lakh

State Government giving priority to education sector, says ZP chief K. Damodar Reddy

MAHABUBNAGAR: A permanent district-level science museum will be established at Pillalamarri near Mahabubnagar town at a cost of Rs.80 lakhs, according to Zilla Parishad Chairman K. Damodar Reddy. He inaugurated a three-day district-level Science Fair at St. Agnes School in Jadcherla town on Monday.

Addressing on the occasion Mr. Reddy said that students would gain more knowledge through exhibition and practicals than textbooks. He said that the State Government was giving priority to education sector and as part of this many school buildings were being constructed besides recruitment of teachers.

To create awareness among high school and UPS students the district administration will be establishing the science museum at Pillalamarri, near Mahabubnagar town.

He advised the students to know every thing and be ready to face any situation in the future in education as well as in real life also.

Science fairs useful

Jadcherla MLA Laxma Reddy said that science fairs would be useful to the students to exhibit their talents and exchange their views with others. MLC Sudhakar Reddy, DEO Chengaiah and others also spoke. As many as 900 boys and 100 girls, 320 teachers are participating in the science fair and 274 exhibits are being exhibited from all over the district.
