HYDERABAD: AICC in charge of AP affairs, Veerappa Moily, will unveil the statue of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at Madhapur junction on Monday.

Mr. Moily will arrive at 2 p.m. and release a booklet on ‘India’s nuclear energy and the 123 agreement with the US’, brought out by the State unit of the National Students Union of India.

He will later proceed to Madhapur junction to unveil a 12-feet bronze statue of the former Prime Minister to coincide with her 90th birth anniversary. Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, PCC president G.S. Rao, State Ministers, Congress MLA P. Janardhan Reddy and others will participate. Mr. Moily would leave for New Delhi in the evening.

The Chief Minister would garland the portrait of Indira Gandhi at Gandhi bhavan on Monday and attend a meeting being organised on the occasion by the Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee.

An APCC press release issued said that Mr. Moily would again visit the city on November 22.He will leave for Visakhapatnam in the afternoon and address the Visakhapatnam District Congress Committee meeting in Anakapalle. He will address the Visakhapatnam City Congress Committee meeting and leave for Bangalore.
