Three criminal cases registered against Salman earlier
Salman got weapon licence two years ago from Hyderabad Police Commissioner
He bought a foreign-made pistol and a double barrel breach load gun
HYDERABAD: The city police are planning to open a history-sheet on real estate businessman Salman who allegedly ran riot by firing shots with his pistol in a bar at Rajendranagar on Monday night.
Three criminal cases - two following court directions and one by the Golconda police - were registered against him earlier. In one case referred by the court, he got the FIR against him quashed by moving the High Court. In the second one, he secured anticipatory bail.
A third case was booked against him on charge of kidnapping one of his business partners over a monetary dispute five months ago. The Golconda police arrested and sent him to jail in this case, but he subsequently came out on bail.
Inquiries by the police revealed that he got the weapon licence two years ago and bought two weapons - a foreign-made pistol and a double barrel breach load gun. It was issued by the Hyderabad Police Commissioner. While the pistol was already seized after the firing incident in the bar, the DBBL gun is yet to be recovered. “In the backdrop of the criminal charges he is facing and the latest shootout incident, we’re writing to the higher-ups to cancel the licence,” Asifnagar ACP B. Mahender Reddy said.
