Party wants findings on Outer Ring Road alignment made public
HYDERABAD: The State unit of Bharatiya Janata Party has demanded that the report submitted by the CBI after its probe into the Outer Ring Road alignment changes should be made public.
The BJP State Land Protection Committee Chairman S. Malla Reddy in a release said that the CBI inquiry was ordered into alignment changes in Kokapet, Mankhal, Nadargul, Ragannaguda, Turkayamjal where land acquisition notification was given for various projects including hardware park, but subsequently withdrawn, partially in some villages and totally in other villages.
The details of land registration between issuance and withdrawal of notification and the details of buyers should also be made public, he demanded.
Several small farmers, Dalits and those belonging to weaker sections had sold away their lands at low prices fearing notification while those who bought those lands were Ministers, MLAs, MPs, higher officials and their relatives and friends, he alleged.
Though the CBI had submitted the report several days back, the Government had neither made it public nor initiated action against those who ‘manipulated’ alignment changes, he said.
Meanwhile, State BJP president Bandaru Dattatreya criticised the Government for failing to protect 137 acres of surplus land in Gachibowli in Serilingampally mandal of Ranga Reddy district.
