HYDERABAD: Tourism Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy told presspersons at the Pacific Asia Travel Association Mart (PATA) 2007 at Bali, Indonesia, that Andhra Pradesh State stood first in domestic tourist arrivals in India, while Hyderabad was becoming an Indian hub for IT, Biotech and pharma.
International and national connectivity to Hyderabad would vastly improve once operations began at the new international airport, from March, 2008, he said. The State’s new tourism policy demonstrated Government’s commitment to providing opportunities for the private sector to take up projects on the public-private partnership mode, he said.
Addressing delegates, he conveyed Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s invitation to them to participate in PATA 2008 in Hyderabad.
