HYDERABAD: City Police on Tuesday arrested four persons who allegedly tried to loot a petrol bunk at Sangareddy crossroads a year ago and conspired to kill a person. Four country-made muzzle loaded guns were seized from them, a press release said. On a tip-off, Commissioner’s Task Force (North) officials caught K.N. Das Goud, 20, U. Ravi Kumar (24), D. Sudhakar (18), and P. Prashanth (19), all hailing from Ranga Reddy district, at S.R. Nagar. Leader of the gang, Goud, who used to live at Tukkuguda on city fringes, allegedly used to intimidate locals brandishing country-made weapons.
Police said that, in July 2006, Goud and his associated murdered one Nani at Borabanda. The arrested persons, along with the seized weapons, were handed over to the S.R. Nagar police for further investigation.
